Since  1986,  BPM  has  been  committed  to  keeping  its clients’ goals  at  the  forefront  of  everything  they
do.  This  dedication  is what drove the Firm to  become  one  of  the  50  largest  public  accounting  and
advisory  firms  in  the  country  and  one  of  the  top  10  firms  in  the  West.  With more than 500 employees
‚Äčalong the West Coast—as well as offices in India and the Cayman Islands—BPM helps clients succeed around the world.

Recently ranked by Forbes as one of America’s Best Tax and Accounting Firms, BPM continually strengthens its client service team with talented professionals who bring deep expertise across a wide variety of industries in audit, tax and advisory services. The Firm offers a cross-functional team approach that gives clients direct access to the best and most qualified resources, which is why it continues to be recognized as a Best of Accounting award winner for client service excellence and a Best Place to Work for its employees.  Its brand promise, Because People Matter, is reflected in both its culture and client service model.

Jackie Matsumura is a Tax partner and the Co-Leads BPM’s Real Estate Industry Group. She has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and advises clients on real estate transactions, partnership restructuring and analyzing the impact of the 2020 CARES Act. Jackie is responsible for serving real estate clients whose assets under management range from $5 million to $500 million. Recent projects include assistance with structuring Qualified Opportunity Funds, consulting on partnership mergers of multiple real estate entities and tax analysis of cancellation of debt.

Jackie has been a member of CREW East Bay for 11 years and has served for the past two years as Treasurer on the board. “I have gained more knowledge about the commercial real estate industry through events such as the monthly luncheons and lunch and learns,” she says. “I also continue to develop leadership skills by attending not only the local events but also CREW Network’s Summits and Conventions throughout the U.S. Most of all, I’ve developed relationships with fellow members who have become an essential part of my professional as well as personal network.”

BPM has been a Gold Sponsor of CREW for the past three years. Jackie acknowledges that the sponsorship has provided great visibility for BPM along with complimentary registrations to luncheons and the CREW Network Convention.

Jackie’s major accomplishment is the development and growth of BPM’s Real Estate Industry Group which she has Co-Lead for the past five years. Outside of that role, she also serves as a mentor to many female leaders across the Firm. She is proud to lead a team of dedicated professionals to serve clients with complex accounting and tax issues and contribute to their professional growth through training and formal coaching programs.
